Ez egy másmilyen érzés... /It is a different feeling...

... ha van olyan ember, akit ismersz az olimpiai résztvevők közül. Az egyik ex-osztálytársam olimpiai résztvevő, hétpróbában, és teljesen más volt így nézni a versenyeket, az Ő versenyét. Élete első felnőtt versenye (soha rosszabb kezdést) és tudom, hogy a 8 év alatt (na meg előtte és utána is) amíg egy osztályba jártunk mennyi melót feccölt bele, hogy ez összejöhessen neki. És igen, megvan, drukkolhattunk neki, 29. lett egy 40 fős mezőnyben, nincs arany, se ezüst, se bronz, de van egy szép egyéni siker, 3 vagy 4 egyéni csűcsát döntötte meg. És jó lenne ha néha ez az oldala is előtérbe kerülne az olimpiának, mert talán
"Nem a győzelem, hanem a részvétel a fontos!"

...if you know somebody from the participants of your country's olympic team. One of my ex-classmates is a participant at the Games, in heptathlon, and it was completely different to watch the Games, HER games like this. This was her first competition amongst adults (not a bad start) and I know that how much work she put into this result while we were classmates for 8 years (and before and after that). And yes, she managed to do it, we could jitter to her, she ended up as 29th amongst 40 athletes, no gold, silver or bronze medals, but there is a nice personal success, she broke 3-4 of her personal records. And it would be nice if sometimes this part of the olympic games would be highlighted as well, because
"The important thing is not to win, but to take part."
